Platinum Grove Asset Management, L.P. (PGAM) manages dynamic multiple-strategy relative-value investment vehicles. Our returns are generated by investing in core fixed-income strategies complemented by equity and currency strategies. We intermediate identifiable supply and demand imbalances and hedge risks (such as the risks associated with changes in interest rates in particular markets) that are exogenous to the intermediation of these imbalances.

We rely upon sophisticated and proprietary quantitative modeling augmented by qualitative research, on a global basis. We have a large investment in technology and in our employees. Employees interact with the principals to foster a learning environment, not only to understand opportunities and develop new research but also to share experiences and further develop the theoretical and empirical foundation of the business. 

Risk control is central to asset management and PGAM relies on an innovative risk-control framework and on sophisticated processes to add to returns while seeking to preserve capital. Our goal is to produce excellent returns for our global investor base while preserving their investment capital.

PGAM was founded in October 1999. In August 2006, we changed our name to reflect a restructuring of the management company that was transparent to our investors. Our operations remained the same.
